Ingredients

1 box
yellow cake mix (18.25oz.)
1 1/3 c
water
1/3 c
vegetable oil
1 pkg
instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
3
eggs
2 tsp
imitation rum extract
1 c
walnuts

RUM SAUCE

3/4 c
brown sugar
1/2 c
butter
1/4 c
half and half
2 tsp
imitation rum extract
1/8 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1Beat all ingredients (except walnuts) on low in large bowl of electric mixer 30 seconds or until moistened. Beat on high 3 minutes or until light and fluffy.
2Grease and flour 12 cup fluted tube pan; sprinkle with the walnuts. Pour batter on top of nuts.
3Bake in a 350 degree F oven 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes; invert on wire rack to cool completely . Drizzle with sauce.
4For the rum sauce; in medium saucepan, gently boil brown sugar and butter 1 minute. Add half and half. Gently boil a few more seconds. Remove from heat; add extract and salt. Makes 1 cup.
