Ingredients

RED VELVET CAKE

2 c
white sugar
2 stick
unsalted butter, softened
3
eggs
2 oz
red food coloring
1/2 c
water
1/2 c
cocoa powder
2 1/2 c
flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
salt
1 c
buttermilk
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 Tbsp
white vinegar

FILLING

16 oz
cream cheese, softened
2 c
confectioners' sugar
1/2 stick
unsalted butter, softened
4 Tbsp
white chocolate liqueur
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1 Tbsp
heavy cream

FROSTING

3 stick
unsalted butter, softened
4 1/2 c
confectioners' sugar
3 Tbsp
heavy cream
4 1/2 Tbsp
white chocolate liqueur
2 tsp
pure vanilla extract

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour three 8 inch cake pans

2CAKE BATTER:
Cream sugar and butter together then add eggs one at a time and mix well after each

3In a small bowl mix water, cocoa, and food coloring together then add to batter and mix well

4Gently stir flour, salt, and baking powder together in a separate bowl, then add flour mixture to batter alternating with buttermilk, then stir in vanilla

5In a small bowl, whisk together baking soda and vinegar and add to cake batter

6Pour batter evenly into three pans and bake at for 20 to 25 minutes then remove from heat and cool completely

7FILLING:
Cream together butter and cream cheese, gradually add sugar, stir in vanilla, liqueur and heavy cream then beat till fluffy

8FROSTING:
Cream butter and vanilla together, add confectioners sugar alternating with liqueur and heavy cream and beat to desired consistency
