Ingredients

CAKE

1
yellow cake mix, divided
1/2 c
butter, softened
4
eggs, divided
1-29 oz. can(s)
pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
sugar
2/3 c
evaporated milk
2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
ginger
1/4 tsp
cloves

TOPPING

1 c
reserved cake mix
1/2 c
sugar
1/4 c
butter, softened
1/2 c
chopped walnuts, optional

Step-By-Step

1Set aside 1 cup of cake mix for topping. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and one egg in a medium bowl. Mix well and spread in a sprayed 13x9 pan.

2In another bowl, mix together pumpkin, sugars, spices, remaining eggs and milk. Pour over cake batter.

3Mix topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over the pumpkin layer.

4Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes or until filling is set.
