Ingredients

flour
2 c
butter
1 c
sugar
1 c
brown sugar
2 large
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can(s)
pumpkin puree
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 tsp
ground ginger
1 tsp
ground cloves
1 tsp
nutmeg
2 tsp
baking soda
1 pinch
salt
1 jar(s)
cream cheese frosting

Step-By-Step

1Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2Using an electric mixer, beat the butter, white, and brown sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time, then add the vanilla and pumpkin puree. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time, then mix in the vanilla and pumpkin puree.
3In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and ground cloves. Slowly beat the flour mixture into the batter a little bit at a time. Fold in the chips.
4Spray two cake pans with non-stick spray. Divide mixture evenly. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool, frost, and serve.
