    reese's pieces
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    sodium-free salt
  • 2 c
    crunchy peanut butter
  • 2/3 c
    margarine,softened
  • 2 c
    brown sugar
  • 6
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    almond extract
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • HOT CHOCOLATE FROSTING
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese,softened
  • 1 tube
    frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 4
    packets hot chocolate mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    chocolate syrup

How To Make peanut butter cake with hot chocolate frosting

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.Sprinkle with reese's pieces over the pan.Sift together the flour,baking powder and sodium-free salt.Set aside.

    In a large bowl,cream together the peanut butter,margarine and brown sugar until light and fluffy.Beat in the eggs one at a time,then stir in 2 teaspoons almond extract.Beat in the flour mixture alternately with 3/4 cup milk,mixing just until incorporated.Pour batter into prepared pan.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes,or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.Allow to cool in pan.

    To make Hot Chocolate Frosting:In a large bowl,combine cream cheese,whipped topping,milk and hot chocolate mix;beating until smooth.Beat in chocolate syrup.Spread frosting on top of the cake.
