Ingredients

1 c
butter, softened
1/2 c
shortening
3 c
all purpose flour
5
eggs
3 c
sugar
1 tsp
baking powder
1 c
buttermilk
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 tsp
lemon extract

Directions Step-By-Step

Cream butter and shortening until smooth.

Add sugar and mix.

Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

Add flour and baking powder alternately with buttermilk. Mix well.

Add extracts, and mix well.

Pour into greased and floured large (10 inch) tube pan.

Bake at 350F for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done. Cool in pan for 30 minutes before removing from pan to cool completely. Dust wit powdered sugar, if desired.
