Ingredients

1 c
flour
1 c
whole wheat flour
2 c
sugar
3/4 c
cocoa powder
1-1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
2 large
eggs
1 c
low-fat buttermilk
1 c
applesauce or oil
1-1/2 tsp
vanilla
1 c
cold brewed coffee
1/2 c
softened butter
1 c
creamy peanut butter
3 Tbsp
milk
2 c
powdered sugar

Step-By-Step

1Heat oven to 300. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray. In bowl, combine flours, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and baking powder.

2In another bowl, beat eggs. Beat in applesauce or oil, coffee and vanilla. Beat in flour mix, alternately w/ buttermilk. Pour into pan, bake 1 hr, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool.

3In bowl, beat butter and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar. Slowly beat in milk until spreadable. Beat 3 mins. Frost cooled cake.
