How To Make cocoa party cake

Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine cake flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture.

Pour into greased and floured 13x9 inch pan or three 8 or 9 inch layer pans. Bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes for oblong cake or 30-35 minutes for layers, or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely; frost as desired.
