Ingredients For chocolate chip orange pound cake

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 4 oz
    (1/2 of 8 ounce package) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
    semi sweet chocolate chips
  • powdered sugar

How To Make chocolate chip orange pound cake

    Heat oven to 325. Grease and flour 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Cut butter and cream cheese into 1 inch slices; place in bowl of food processor. Add sugar; process until smooth, about 30 seconds. Add eggs, vanilla, and orange peel; process until blended, about 10 seconds.

    Add flour and baking powder; process until blended, about 10 seconds. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 45-50 minutes or until cake pulls away from sides of pan. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to wire racks. Cool completely; sprinkle powdered sugar over cake.
