Ingredients For brown sugar chocolate cake

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda and cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 box
    1 pound light brown sugar
  • 3
    eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 2
    squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 c
    milk

How To Make brown sugar chocolate cake

    Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; set aside. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Beat in vanilla. Stir in chocolate. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.

    Turn batter into 3 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool cakes in pan 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Frost as desired.
