I've had this recipe for more than 20 years, and still remember my husband devouring it the first time I made it for him! It's a fall favorite in our home, so moist and so delicious! You can sprinkle powdered sugar over it, to look pretty, but it's perfect as is!

Ingredients For autumn apple cake

  • 1 1/2 c
    corn oil
  • 2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 c
    chopped apples
  • 1 c
    pecans
  • 1/2 c
    raisins

How To Make autumn apple cake

    Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour, or spray with baking spray, a Bundt pan. Mix thoroughly the corn oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

    Combine flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the liquid mixture to this, and mix til combined.

    Combine apples, nuts, raisins and fold into batter. It will be very thick and dense! Pour into prepared pan, bake one hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
