Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake Ring

I love Apple and Cinnamon together. This coffee cake is full of Apples, cinnamon, nuts, and covered with a Brown butter sugar glaze. This recipe has been changed quite a bit from the original, making it my own. I believe this version is better. It is very delicious, and one of the best coffee cakes I have ever had.

Ingredients

1 c
softened butter
3/4 c
granulated sugar
1/4 c
light brown sugar
2
egg
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 c
unsweetened apple sauce
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
salt
2 1/2 c
flour
1 c
chopped apples
1 c
chopped walnuts
1 2/3 c
cinnamon chips like hershey ( if you can't find them in the store. there is a recipe for them that i linked below recipe.

BROWN BUTTER ICING

3 Tbsp
butter
1 c
powdered sugar
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
vanilla
2 Tbsp
milk
3/4 c
chopped walnuts

Step-By-Step

Step 1 Direction Photo

1pre heat oven to 350 degree's. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.

2Beat butter, and sugars together. Add eggs, and vanilla. Beat on low speed until well blended. Mix in the apple sauce.

3Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together. Gradually add to butter mixture a little at a time. Mix on medium speed.

4Stir in the nuts, cinnamon chips, and apples. Pour in to Bundt pan. Make sure thick batter is level. Bake at 350 degree's for 40-45 minutes, or until pick comes out clean. Cool and invert on to platter. Make icing.

5Make icing: Melt the butter in a saucepan on low-medium high heat. Stir constantly until butter turn golden brown. Do not burn. Let cool slightly. Add in sifted powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk one tablespoon at a time. Blend well. Drizzle over coffee cake, and top with finely chopped walnuts,and serve.
