Raquel's Story

I've been searching for something quick, easy, and delicious to bake on short notice..found a recipe and tweeked it a bit...hope u enjoy it as much as my kids and I do!!


3.4 oz pkg
vanilla instant pudding
1 c
butter, softened

brown sugar, firmly packed
2 medium
2 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c
oats, uncooked

Directions Step-By-Step

Pre-heat oven at 350 degrees. In large bowl mix together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth. Add baking soda and pudding mix and againg mix until smooth. Add flour and oats until creamy and forms cookie dough consistency. With a wooden spoon mix in chocolate chips.
Drop spoonfull cookie dough onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheets and flatten to your liking as the cookies do not flatten much on their own. Bake for approx 12 minutes or until edge of cookie is lightly browned. Leave on cookie sheet for at least 2 minutes before transferring to cookie rack to allow cooling completely...ENOY!!
This made 2 1/2 dozen good size yummy cookies.

    Hi Raquel...question for you...regarding the oats, are they the quick oats or regular? Thanks for sharing...can't wait to try these. :o)

    Hi Karen! i'm so sorry...they are the Quaker Old Fashioned Oats...it doesn't say quick or instant on them? i'm sorry...so would it be considered regular??? i feel bad to not have the answer :( but i used the Quaker brand oats :)

    One more question...when do you add the oats? I'm assuming when you add the flour, yes? You have add the baking soda twice. I had to re-read the recipe a couple times as I'm tired and I thought my eyes were going wonky and I just wasn't reading it right...lol

    my goodness! yes! i missed that :( i added the oats when i added the flour...i should've proof read it before! i just wrote it quickly before i forgot how i tweeked it! LOL..let me know when u bake them and if you like them...if you make any changes let me know to see if you added any more yumminess to them :)
