These are awesome...and it's true they match up to their name. I found this recipe a long time ago. It makes a lot and I often freeze the dough to use for bar cookies or make specialty cookies.

Ingredients For soft & chewy chocolate chip cookies

  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3
    eggs
  • 4 1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2-4 c
    chocolate chips

How To Make soft & chewy chocolate chip cookies

    Preheat oven at 375F, In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars, butter; beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; blend well. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.

    Drop dough by spoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

    Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute. Remove from pan and cool on racks.
