These cookies just melt in your mouth. They are a traditional Christmas Holiday favorite around my house.

Ingredients

1 c
soft butter
1/2 c
sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp
vanilla
2 1/4 c
flour
1/4 tsp
salt
3/4 c
finely chopped nuts

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dip, level pour method or by sifting. Blend flour and salt, stir in. Mix in nuts. Chill
Heat oven to 400o

Roll into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. While still warm roll in confectioners sugar. Cool and roll again. Makes about 4 dozen 1" cookies
