I had always made a butter rolled cookie for cut-out cookies. Then, this cookie caught my eye. I really love the flavor of cinnamon! So, next time I make rolled out cookies, I want to try this one! Prep time, does not include chill time, in refrigerator.

3 14 call-purpose flour or unbleached all-purpose flour

1 Tbspbaking powder

2 tspground cinnamon

1/2 tspsalt

2/3 cbutter, at room temperature

1 1/2 csugar

2 lgeggs

1/4 cmilk

1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make rolled cinnamon-sugar cookies

1Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray baking sheets with cooking spray.

2Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl, at medium speed, until creamy. Beat in eggs, until light and fluffy. Beat in milk and vanilla.

3Stir flour mixture into egg mixture, one-third at a time, to make a stiff dough. Divide dough into fourths; flatten to 1/2 inch thickness. Wrap; refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

4Working with one-fourth of the dough at a time (refrigerate remaining dough), roll out on generously floured surface to 3/8 inch thickness. Cut into shapes, using 3 inch cutters. Place on prepared baking sheets.

5Bake 10-12 minutes, until golden around edges. Transfer cookies to racks to cool completely. Repeat with remaining dough. Frost and decorate cookies as desired.
