Ingredients For rock fudge

1 1/2 lbwhite confectionery coating (not white chocolate chips) - see note

1 - 14 oz cansweetened condensed milk

1 pinchsalt

1/4 - 2/3 coriginal double stuf oreo cookies, crushed with filling

1/2 tspcocoa powder

red food coloring drops (optional)
How To Make rock fudge

1Heat confectionery coating, sweetened condensed milk & salt in a medium saucepan over low heat. Use a heatproof spatula or a wooden spoon to stir frequently until melted & smooth. Turn off gas flame or remove from heat. Stir in 1/4 C cookie crumbs. Stir just to combine.

2If you want your stones to have different colors, then divide the mixture among four bowls. Leave one bowl alone. Add another 1/4 C Oreo cookie crumbs to one of the bowls. Add the cocoa powder to another bowl. Add one drop of red food coloring & some more crumbs to the last bowl. These are just suggestions; you could make your rocks any color you'd like. Press a piece of plastic wrap down onto the fudge in each bowl & allow it to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, until it is thick & no longer sticky.

3Pinch off pieces of fudge & shape into rocks. Arrange rocks in a pile or using any of the other methods I've listed in the post above. NOTE: Or you can make 1 big "boulder" & cut chunks off to eat.

4This will keep at room temperature for several days. Keep stored in an airtight container if you'd like to keep it longer.

5NOTE: White Confectionery Coating is also known as Candy Coating or Moulding Compound. Used as a dip for candies or for making molded candies & chocolates, confectionary coating is a mixture of sugar, milk powers, vegetable fat & flavorings, including cocoa. It comes in a variety of pastel colors. White confectionary coating can be tinted custom colors by using special candy food colors. Caution, do not use regular food colors as this will affect the consistency of the candy. Because it doesn't require tempering, candy coating is much easier for beginners to work with & still produces spectacular looking candies. You can get usually get confectionery coating at baking, candy, cake, party & craft supply stores.
