Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Gradually add flour, beating until combined. Beat in vanilla. Stir in potato chips and pecans. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
