Pattie's Notes:

My Grandma use to make these and never had left overs. I started baking these at Christmas time an they just disapear. One of my favorites

Woot... another tasty way to satisfy our sweet & salty cravings! We added the baking powder and soda in Step 1 and the cookies turned out de-lish.

Pattie, you did not mention the milk chocolate chips until #3 item in the directions. Can you tell me - do you spread them upon the warm dough and wait until after they melt? Do you then sprinkle the chopped peanuts onto the melted chocolate before it sets up? I can see how well they will be received with the Christmas Cookie bake off in preperation for Gift Trays. Thanks for posting for JAP. LOL :-)

Well I need to work on this recipe it was my Grandma's and when making this with her I had to watch. But on the chocolate chips I just use enough to make a thin covering so not more than a 6 oz. bag after baking spread them and after they melt spread it out then sprinkle the finely chopped nuts. I hope that helps and will update the recipe

I am in the middle of making this lovely recipe but I am not sure what size you meant by "cake pan", I am thinking 9x13, but the recipe looks like it may fit in maybe an 8x8? Cant wait to eat these!

It is a 9x13. If you want them thicker use a smaller pan.
