Original recipe is from Jif. The best peanut butter makes the best cookies. I swapped the milk for eggnog and I swear these are the best peanut butter cookies I've ever had. They're thin, crispy and chewy!! All the best!! The family agrees!!!

Ingredients For peanut butter cookies

  • 3/4 cup
    jif creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 stick
    crisco baking stick (1/2 cup crisco shortening)
  • 1 1/4 cups
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp
    eggnog or milk
  • 1 tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1 3/4 cups
    gold medal all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt

How To Make peanut butter cookies

    Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine peanut butter, crisco, brown sugar, eggnog and vanilla in large bowl. Beat on medium speed till well blended. Add egg and beat till just blended. Do not overmix.

    In separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda & salt. Add to peanut butter mixture till just blended on low speed. Uaing a 1 tablespoon scoop place cookies about 2" apart on baking sheet. Flatten slightly with fork tines in crisscross pattern.

    Bake for 8 minutes. Cool a couple minutes on pan before moving to racks to cool completely.

    Enjoy as is or sandwich with a chocolate ganache filling. Oh sooooo good!!!!
