  Preheat oven o 350*. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  In a medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder.

  Add egg, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla to butter mixture. Add flour mixture, mix well.

  Fill cookie onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets; remove to cooling grid and cool completely.
