Annette's notes for this recipe:
This is the oatmeal raisin cookie recipe I have been using since I was about 15. It came from my grandma. They are soft and chewy and full of flavor. I have to have my oatmeal raisin cookies soft and spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg. This are just that. Your house will smell amazing for days!

I'm posting this recipe as a special request for a very dear friend of mine, Bea. Here you go beautiful. I hope you love them as much as I always have.

Recipe is my own. Photo is from beautiful Bea herself.

Preheat oven to 350°. Cream together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mixed until combined thoroughly.
In a medium bowl combine all the dry ingredients and mix them well.
Stir dry ingredients (except oats) into wet and mix them until they are just combined being careful not to over mix.
Gently add in oats and fold then add the raisins and stir until just combined.
Scoop 1 tablespoon of cookie dough onto un-greased cookie sheets about half an inch apart. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes until the cookies are golden brown along the edges. Do not over bake.
Remove from oven and onto a cooling rack. Enjoy!

My Grandmother made a recipe like this, she also loved her oatmeal raisin cookies soft and spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg....she

Only difference, I do not remember her using ground cloves in hers, I love the smell of ground cloves so that will be a nice addition.
