Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
These are not your run-of-the-mill oatmeal cookies. These cookies have a great flavor and I absolutely love the crispiness.  These would be great with some vanilla ice cream and caramel syrup.  Yum!

Ingredients

1 c
Butter Softened
1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c
Granulated sugar
2
Eggs
1 tsp
vanilla
1 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
baking soda
3 c
Rolled Oats
1/2 c
Walnuts - optional

Step-By-Step

1Cream Butter and sugars.

2Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.

3Mix flour, salt, and baking soda together.

4Add flour mix to butter mix slowly.

5Chill dough thoroughly.

6Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

7Take out of fridge and using a 1/2 inch to 1 inch melon baller, place your dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.

8Place in oven for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.

9Place on rack to cool, then eat.
