these cookies started out as a recipe that toke 5 lbs of flour. and I finaly got it down to only 5 cups. they are soft and a complament for the milk that goes with them.

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter flavor shorting
1 1/2 c
sugar
2
eggs
1 tsp
nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
vanilla
1 c
egg nog
5 c
flour


Directions Step-By-Step

cream the shorting and sugar

add the next 5 ingerdents mixing in between each addtion

allternate the flour and egg nog. it will be a little sticky but remember these are a rolled cookies so they will pick up the flour from your board

I do a little at a time, lightly flour your board, roll to about 1/4" thick. thicker if you like a softer cookies. cut out with your choice of cutters

bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes 2-4 more if you want a crispy cookie

frost with your favorite frosting. me I like the butter cream for these cookies
