This is a recipe I made recently and converted to a low sugar one. These are super tasty considering the carb count. If you cut this recipe into 12 bars, each bar will have 142 calories, 9 g fat and 13 carbs.

Ingredients For no sugar added cherry vanilla bars

  • 1/2 c
    splenda (not splenda mix for baking - use just regular splenda)
  • 1/3 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    splenda brown sugar mix
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    dried cherries, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 c
    white baking chips
  • 1/2 c
    nuts (i use slivered almonds or chopped pecans)

How To Make no sugar added cherry vanilla bars

    Heat oven to 350. Line a 9" square pan with foil and spray foil with non-stick cooking spray.

    Combine Splenda, butter, Splenda brown sugar, egg and vanilla in large bowl. Add flour and baking powder. Beat until well mixed. Stir in cherries, chips and nuts. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Lift from pan by grasping edges of foil and move to cooling rack. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
