I have made this for family gatherings and for work because everybody asks for me to make it they love it. Years ago I made it for my mom to take to her work and a guy liked it so much he had to have the recipe so his wife could make it. They tried it with every flavor of instant Jello pudding and said that the Lemon flavor is the best of them all.
Mix flour, butter, and half of the pecans like pie crust. Press into 9 X 13 glass baking dish. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool completely. Beat 8oz cool whip, cream cheese, and powdered sugar and spread on cool crust. Blend pudding and milk until thickened. Spread over cool whip mixture. Spread the other 8oz cool whip on top. Sprinkle remaining pecans on top. Refrigerate for 2 hours
You can use less of the pecans, it's your desire
