Ingredients
| 1 c | butter at room temperature |
| 1 c | packed light brown sugar |
| 1/2 c | cane sugar |
| 2 | eggs |
| 4 tsp | vanilla extract |
| 1 1/4 c | all purpose flour |
| 1/2 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 3 c | quick cooking oats |
| 2 c | semi-sweet chocolate chips |

Directions
Preheat to 325 degreesIn a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and cane sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture gradually until just blended.Mix in the oats and chocolate chips.Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet(s).IMPORTANT: Baking time is APPROXIMATELY 12 minutes. The edges of the cookies should be golden brown and the centers still soft.Remove from heat and allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.Enjoy!
