Iced Peanut Butter Bars

I love peanut butter bars but this recipe has a little something extra that enhances the peanut butter flavor even more, the icing! I got this recipe from a very sweet lady named Mary at my Mom's church. She brought these and they were gone instantly!

**I didn't have enough chocolate chips so added about 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips and they came out REALLY tasty!**

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter or margarine softened
1/2 c
brown sugar, packed
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
creamy peanut butter
1
egg, beaten
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
flour
1/2 c
quick cooking oats
1 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
salt
1 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips

ICING

1/2 c
powdered sugar
2 Tbsp
creamy peanut butter
2 Tbsp
milk

Directions Step-By-Step

Cream together butter, sugars, and peanut butter.
Add beaten egg and vanilla. Mix well.

Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture.

Spread into 13x9 greased baking pan. Batter will be thick.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes in 350 degree oven or until lightly browned (underdone is better).
Cool 10 minutes

Combine icing ingredients and drizzle over bars.
