1 1/4 call purpose flour

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

2/3 csugar

1/2 cbutter, softened

1egg
-
2 tspgrated lemon peel

1 Tbsppoppy seeds

1 cpowdered sugar

2 Tbsplemon juice
How To Make hungarian lemon poppy seed cookies

1Preheat oven to 350F. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl. For cookies, beat sugar and butter in large bowl of electric mixer at medium speed until creamy. Beat in egg and lemon peel.

2Gradually add flour mixture and poppy seeds at low speed. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 11-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

3For glaze, combine powdered sugar and lemon juice in small bowl; mix well. Drizzle glaze over cookies; let stand about 20 minutes or until glaze is set.
