  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    vanilla sugar - recipe on jap
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking powder

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

    Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light in color and fluffy about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla continue to beat until incorporated.

    Add dry ingredients to butter mixture a little at a time and mix on low speed until well incorporated.

    Using a 1 teaspoon measuring spoon drop onto ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. The spacing is important because the cookies will spread and flatten. Bake 8 - 10 minutes until edges are light golden brown.

    When cookies are done, remove from oven and using a spatula transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool.
