These are my families favorite, the recipe has been used in my family for four generations. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Ingredients For great grandma's peanutbutter cookies

1/2 cshortening

1/2 cpeanut butter

1/2 csugar

1/2 cbrown sugar, light

1egg

1 1/2 call purpose flour

3/4 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

1/2 tspbaking powder
How To Make great grandma's peanutbutter cookies

1Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl.

2Cream shorting, sugar, brown sugar and egg. Mix in peanut butter. Add wet ingredients to the sifted flour mixture. Mix until well blended.

3Chill dough for about 30 minutes. Roll into balls about the size of walnuts. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet, flatten with fork dipped in flour in crisscross pattern.

4Bake until set at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen
