Ingredients
| 1 1/2 c | brown sugar, firmly packed |
| 1 c | fat free, no salt butter |
| 1 tsp | of best vanilla extract |
| 1 lg | egg |
| 2 c | quick cooking oats |
| 1 1/2 c | gold medal. all purpose flour. |
| 1 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 c | raisins |
| 1 c | chopped almonds. |

Directions
Preheat oven to 350*F
IN a large bowl,mix brown sugar and butter until well blended.Beat in vanilla extract and egg until light and fluffy.
Mix in oats,flour and baking soda;
Stir in raisins,and chopped almonds.DROP tablespoon of dough onto ungreased cookie sdheet and 2 ;inch apart.
Bake for only 9 to11 minutes ,or untilgolden brown.
Cool slightly and remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
Once cookies are cooled, store in an airtight container.TIPS.
This recipe is my husband favorite since hes diabectic i made this for him .I call grames new version.But you can add chocolate chips and walnuts.Or any kind of nut your family likes.I also have mabe this with bananas and macad.nuts oh so yummy.
