Dad had a special request for me...to make Grandma Knippel's Chocolate Chip Cookies. I said, "I'm a baker & I have tons of different recipes for CCC." He said, "No! I don't know what made these different than any other CCC & my mom used to send me these cookies all the time when I was in the Navy. They were the BEST! Very buttery." So I finally got the recipe from my Aunt Bev. To me, they look like any other CCC recipe. Who knows?

Ingredients For grandma knippel's chocolate chip cookies

2 stickbutter, room temperature

1 cdark brown sugar, firmly packed

1 csugar
-
2 x lgegg
-
2 tsppure vanilla extract

2 1/4 call purpose flour

1/2 tspbaking soda
-
1 tspsalt

1 cwalnuts, chopped
-
2 - 12 oz pkgsemi-sweet chocolate chips
How To Make grandma knippel's chocolate chip cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Cream butter & sugars; cream thoroughly.

3Add egg & vanilla; mix well.

4In a large bowl, sift flour, baking soda & salt. Add slowly to the creamed mixture; mix well.

5Fold in nuts & chips.

6Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet & bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
