This is a peanut butter cookie that is not too sweet. If you like an extra crunchy cookie, add 1/2 C chopped, unsalted peanuts to the dough after mixing in the flour.

Ingredients For georgia peanut cookies

1/2 csoft butter or margarine

1/2 cbrown sugar, packed

1/2 ccrunchy peanut butter

1/2 tspvanilla

1egg
-
1/2 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

1 1/2 call-purpose flour
-
peanuts for garnish, optional
How To Make georgia peanut cookies

1In a bowl, cream butter with sugar and peanut butter. Add vanilla and egg, beating until fluffy. Stir in baking soda and salt. Blend in flour and mix until a stiff dough forms.

2Shape dough into walnut sized balls. Place cookies on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Press cookies with fork and crisscross to flatten. Sprinkle cookies with peanuts if you wish.

3Bake cookies for 10 minutes or until lightly browned at 375 degrees.
