easy biscotti

I love Biscotti, and always wanted to make it, but never tried until recently. I found this recipe on the web, so its not mine, but it turned out wonderful!

Ingredients For easy biscotti

  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 3 1/4 c
    flour
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 Tbsp
    anise extract or 3 drops of anise oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder

How To Make easy biscotti

    Pre-heat oven to 375 Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper

    In a medium bowl mix together flour and baking powder, set aside. In a large bowl, mix together Oil, sugar, eggs and flavoring. Beat till well blended. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, and stir by hand until it forms a heavy dough. Divide the dough in half and roll into 2 logs. Place logs on parchment lined cookie sheets and press down on each log making them 1/2" thick. Bake for 20-30 minutes until lightly brown, Move to a wire rack and cool. When cool, cut into 1/2 inch slices, place on a lined cookie sheet and bake at 375 on each side for 6-8 minutes or less, depending on how crunchy you like them. Cool, store in a airtight container. Yummy!

    This is a very easy biscotti recipe that can be changed very easily, add slivered almonds, change the flavoring to almond, dip the ends or tops into chocolate...just use your imagination!
