My Dad passed away from cancer when I was 12. About 2 years ago, my Mom found all her old recipes and I went through them all. I found this recipe in my Dad's own handwriting. Last Christmas I made them for my family and also people at work. Everybody just loved them. Here's to you Dad!

Ingredients For dad's cookies

1/2 cbutter, softened

3/4 csugar

1egg
-
1 1/2 cflour
-
3/4 tspbaking soda

1 pinchsalt

1/3 cmolasses
-
1 cnuts, chopped (any kind)
How To Make dad's cookies

1Cream butter w/sugar and beat in egg

2Mix flour, baking soda and salt
-
3Add molasses, chopped nuts, and flour mixture to wet ingredients (butter, sugar, egg)

4Mix well and drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet

5Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes
