Ingredients

2 c sugar
3 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 c milk
1 stk butter or margarine
dash(es) salt
3 1/2 c quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 c peanut butter, crunchy or plain
1 tsp vanilla flavoring

My family and friends love these cookies and request these all the time. When I ask what do you want for your birthday, the answer is usually Cow patties!!!

 

Directions

Mix first 5 ingredients in 3 qt sauce pan. Stir until well blended. On Medium heat, heat to a rolling boil. Boil for 3 minutes.

Remove from heat and add oatmeal, peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until peanut butter is melted and all ingredients are well blended.

Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. When set, Enjoy!

These cow pies bring back so many fond memories of my childhood. These were my favorite,and also my own children's favorite, thank you for sharing this recipie, I had some-what forgotten about them. Going to make them agian this week.
