These cookies come out with just a bit of cake like consistency. Add some mini chocolate chips and you have an extra special treat. These cookies are wonderful with a big glass of milk or a cup of coffee. Yum! I was just experimenting in the kitchen and came up with these really good cookies.

Ingredients

1 box
devil food cake mix
3
eggs
3 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 tsp
corn starch
1 c
powered sugar
6 Tbsp
melted butter
12 oz
semi sweet chocolate morsels

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Preheat oven to 375.
2
Melt butter and set aside to cool. Chop chocolate bar into pieces.
3
Place powdered sugar and corn starch in a shallow dish. Mix with a fork to blend.
4
Place cake mix, cooled butter, chocolate, eggs, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl.

Add chocolate morsels.
5
Mix by hand or mixer until well blended and a dough forms. The dough will be sticky.
6
Form dough into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. An ice cream scoop makes this step easier. If rolling balls by hand, keep some powered sugar on your fingers to help in the rolling process.
7
Place balls on a cool, ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
8
Bake 1 sheet at a time, in the center of the oven for 9-11 minutes.
9
Transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
10
Store in airtight container with wax paper or parchment separating layers.
11
Grab a big glass of milk or cup of coffee and enjoy!
