1 jar(s)	one batch sugar cookie dough made from sugar cookie gift in a jar
1/4 stick	butter, melted
	cinnamin
	brown sugar
GLAZE INGREDIENTS
1 stick	butter, room temperature
2 c	confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp	vanilla extract
1/2 tsp	almond extract
	milk if needed

Here is a recipe for an alternative to the plain sugar cookie in a jar recipe I posted.

Here is the recipe you need first

Cookie Jar Sugar Cookie Mix In A Jar

Directions

Roll out sugar cookie dough into a large rectangle (flour your rolling surface to avoid stickage!)

Lather with melted butter

Sprinkle liberally with a layer of cinnamon
Sprinkle liberally with a layer of brown sugar

Roll up and wrap in foil or plastic wrap

Chill for two hours (or place in freezer for 30 minutes)

Slice cookies off roll and bake according to sugar cookie directions. (I found thin slices worked best).

Drizzle with glaze & enjoy!

I'm always looking for a new way to use sugar cookie dough; putting on sticks & dipping in chocolate has been a favorite for gifts - this however, is wonderful... will be giving these away soon.

I was a little skeptical that these cookies would be that easy and also be tasty. I made them for an informal dinner with some friends. I have to say these are not only easy as stated but the best cookies I have made from this site. My friends ate every last one and requested that I make more for an upcoming "get together" brunch. I highly recommend these awesome little treats to anyone who is looking for something easy and tasty to make. P.S. I used my own sugar cookie dough. Can't wait to make them again!!!!!
