Ingredients

3 c
all purpose flour
3/4 tsp
baking powder
1/4 tsp
salt
1 c
butter, unsalted
1 c
sugar
1
egg beaten
1 Tbsp
milk
1 jar(s)
maraschino cherries
powdered sugar for roiiong out dough
1/2 c
cocoa powder
1 Tbsp
instant coffee

Step-By-Step

1Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
2Place butter and sugar in a large bowl and beat until light in color. Add egg and milk and beat to combine.
3Put mixer on low speed, gradually add flour, cocoa powder and the instant coffee and beat until mixture pulls away from the side of bowl.
4Divide the dough in half, wrap in waxed paper, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
5Preheat oven to 375 degrees slice cooled cookie dough, put a cherry on each cookie and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
