Another one I made tonight, but everyone was asleep, so no tasters except me, who loves chocolate and thought these had a nice chocolate fudge taste to them. And they're pretty.

Again, from "Cookies' by Taste of Home.

Ingredients

2 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
2 Tbsp
butter, softened
1 c
sugar
2
egg whites
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/4 c
water
1/2 c
powdered sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

1
In microwave, melt 1 cup of the chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and then set to the side to cool slightly. In separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until slightly crumbly. Add the egg whites and vailla, mixing well.
2
Add melted chocolate. In separate bowl, combine flour and baking powser. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with water. Stir in remaining chocolate chips. Cover dish and refrigerate for about 2 hours or until the dough is easy to handle.
3
Preheat oven to 350. Shape chilled dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place about 2" apart on baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool on rack.

Thanks, Cindy and Colleen! This was the first time I have ever made them, and I really like them! They go good with a glass of cold milk, for sure!!
