I made these for a party, I made individual bowls for each person, but can be made in one larger bowl to serve a group.
I thought this would be too sweet, but if you want, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce and a cherry! you could also fill with fruit, frozen yogurt or pudding.

Ingredients

your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe
vegetable cookie spray
ice cream
whipped cream,optional
2 ovenproof bowls,1 slightly larger than the other

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Spray the inside of the larger of the two ovenproof bowls, and then spray the outside of the smaller dish. Press cookie dough into the bottom of the larger bowl, and then press the smaller bowl on top of the dough. You want dough to begin to push up around the sides, but not all the way. The dough will expand in the oven.
Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and twist the small bowl to get it out of the larger bowl. Put the cookie bowl back into the oven for another 5 minutes or so. When the bowls are cool enough, trim along the edges and run a paring knife along the sides to free it from the bottom of the ovenproof bowl. Allow to cool completely.
Fill with a scoop of ice cream and top with whipped cream.

Toni T., that's an interesting combination too! When I get "aroundtoit" I will try LaWanda's recipe first and then the oatmeal cookies with rum raisin ice cream! At Christmas time around here, we try to find Frozen Pudding, which is a lot like Rum Raisin, but now that Brigham was sold I don't know if we'll be able to find that? Ginger cooky bowls with peach ice cream sound fantastic too.

I had an Oatmeal Cookies yesterday that had the most perfect texture. It would taste very good with Rum Raisin Ice Cream.

It does seem so! How about a trial, and we let her know how they turned out with hers and with the other. I was also thinking how much I love Oatmeal Raisin cookies, and that it might make a good base for a fruit flavored ice cream!

What a great idea! I had the same thought as Toni T. with Ginger Cookie Dough...I love either kind of cooky, but Ginger is one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing this idea.
