Caramel Pecan Bars

Ingredients

CRUST INGREDIENTS

1 c
butter
1/2 c
brown sugar, lightly packed
3 c
all purpose flour
1 large
egg

FILLING INGREDIENTS

3 c
pecans, halved
3/4 c
butter
1/2 c
honey
3/4 c
brown sugar, lightly packed
1/4 c
whipping cream

Step-By-Step

1CRUST: Combine all ingredients in food processor or with electric mixer until blended.
2Press evenly in 15X10X3/4 jelly roll pan.
3Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
4FILLING: Spread pecans evenly over crust.
5In large, heavy saucepan, melt butter and honey. Add brown sugar.
6Boil 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until a rich brown caramel color.
7Remove from heat.
8Stir in cream.
9Mix well and pour over pecans.
10Bake 15 minutes longer.
11Cool, then cut into bars.
12HELPFUL HINT: Take time to place pecan right side up.
13Freezes well. MAKES: about 50 BARS
