Each year I make lots of cookies and put them in gift boxes for our sons and family. I made this cookie for the first time in 2008, they were a huge hit with everyone especially the little ones and they really stand out on a cookie patter at parties. It is the first cookie that goes first! I got this recipe off of a Philly Cream Cheese box.

  • DECORATING THE CANDY CANE:
  • this can be done two different ways. first you can go and try to find holly leaves and berries and place them on the cookie after they have cooled slightly so the candy doesn't melt.
  • if you can't find the holly candy then you can use red gel icing in a small tube and then add little christmas trees or leaves that resemble holly.
