1 bx	cake mix, any flavor
2	eggs
2/3 c	butter flavor shortening
1 tsp	vanilla extract

Anita's Notes:

I work very crazy hours for emergency services and I always make a batch of Cake Mix Cookies for potlucks. People think I'm some sort of gourmet!

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix eggs, shortening, and vanilla until smooth.

Add cake mix, a little at a time and blend until smooth each time. By the time the entire box is mixed in, the mixture will be of cookie dough consistency.

If you want to add any extras, like chocolate chips, peppermint brickle, nuts, etc., add in one cup during the blending process.

Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!

Some family favorites:
French Vanilla cake mix with peppermint brickle.
Carrot Cake mix with 1/2 cup pistachios and 1/2 cup white chocolate chips.
Red Velvet cake mix with white chocolate chips.
Lemon cake mix with dried cranberries.

Me to Chars218 !!! Have done them 3 times and every one has been a hit. Strawberry, orange and lemon. LOVE this. As you say, tried and approved !!! A keeper.
