A friend of mine who used to work at Applebee's gave me 2 recipes that are close to a couple of my favorite dishes from that restaurant. These are not claimed to be Applebee's actual recipes but rather a close approximation. :) Applebee's Blondies are just SO GOOD! Unfortunately I am allergic to nuts. This recipe is close to theirs and I can omit the nuts..... thanks to an anonymous friend! If you try this recipe I think you will find it very similar to the Applebee's treat, with or without nuts. I am sorry about the poor quality of the picture. This good recipe deserves better!

Stir in ermaining brown sugar and cook, stirring, until brown sugar has dissolved completely and sauce is hot. If you desire you can add 1/4 cup chopped nuts. Serve by placing warm blondie on plate, top with ice cream, and pour sauce over all.
