We love this "traveling brownie" as it is the best of both worlds... individual brownies that look and bake up like a cookie! This is a cookie that the kids just love! We haven't made them for a while... but plan on baking up a big batch soon! We double the batch and the kids bring them to school for treat day... and oh what a treat these are!

Ingredients For best ever brownie cookies !

  • COOKIE BATTER
  • 2 stick
    butter
  • 2 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 c
    dark cocoa powder
  • 1/3 c
    chocolate syrup
  • 1/3 c
    corn syrup, light
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 lg
    eggs (beaten)
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:
  • 3/4 c
    walnuts or pecans (chopped)
  • 3/4 c
    chocolate chips, mini
  • OPTIONAL COATING:
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 4 Tbsp
    powdered sugar

How To Make best ever brownie cookies !

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Prepare baking sheets by lining with parchment paper.

    Optional: Mix together Cocoa and powdered sugar, set aside until needed to coat the cookies.

    Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the cinnamon, cocoa, chocolate syrup, corn syrup, vanilla and salt. Add beaten eggs.

    Stir in the flour. Stir in nuts and mini chocolate chips (both are optional).

    Using a tablespoon, place 1 heaping spoonful of dough onto parchment lined baking sheets. Spaced about three inches apart.

    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (don't over bake, the cookies continue cooking after being removed from oven). Allow cookies to cool enough to handle them.

    OPTIONAL: Coat each cookie in Cocoa and powdered sugar mixture. Can just use powdered sugar too.

    Can just frost cookies.
