Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cream the shortening & sugar together; mix well until creamy. Add the eggs & bananas; mix well. Add flour, soda, salt, extract, spices, oatmeal & chips; mix until well combined.

Drop by Tbsp onto baking sheets & bake 8 - 10 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.
