Autumn Apple Butter Bars

I have jars of apple butter that I put up last year. Today I played around with a very old recipe and came up with the perfect way to use up "some" of my apple butter. Notice I didn't say "all". Just another creative way to use goods I've put up. While I used my homemade apple butter, you can purchase apple butter in the grocery store to bake up a batch of these bars. The aroma of these bars baking, is intoxicating.

I'll be using pumpkin butter next go round and simply replace the cinnamon with pumpkin pie spice.

Hope you enjoy!
