Aunt Liz won a blue ribbon with these. You can make the cookie part and freeze them till you want to use them. Don't freeze them with the jam already inside. Make sure you freeze them in a flat container.

Ingredients For aunt liz's linzer tarts

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    butter crisco
  • 2 stick
    butter (room temperature)
  • 3 1/2 c
    flour
  • 2
    eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • seedless raspberry jam
  • confectionary sugar for dusting

How To Make aunt liz's linzer tarts

  • 1
    Cream butter and crisco with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat till combined. Add flour and salt.

    Put in refrigerator for about 2 hours.

    Roll on floured furface about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with linzer cookie cutter.

    Bake at 400 degree oven on cookie sheed sprayed with Pam till very light brown.

    After they are cool fill with jam and dust with confectionary sugar.
